Burcu Kurt is a PhD candidate at Marmara University. She has graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Political Sciences, International Relations Department. She is the author of Osmanli Irak`inda Ingiliz Nufuzuna Tepkiler: Dicle ve Firat`ta Seyr-i Sefain Imtiyazi Tesebbusu (1909-1913) (Istanbul: Osmanli Bankasi Yayinlari, 2009). She has published several articles on Middle Eastern history.
